This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you when you use the Heart Of The House app and related services.

Information we collect

• Account information such as your email address, name, and authentication details.
• Home-related information you choose to add, including home profile details, tasks, projects, supplies, notes, House Log entries, and chat messages.
• Photos you optionally upload when requesting help or analysis in the app.
• Subscription status and entitlement information needed to provide paid features. Billing and payment details are handled by the applicable app store, not by us.
• Basic usage, device, and diagnostic information used to keep the app reliable, secure, and performant.

How we use information

• Provide, maintain, and improve Heart Of The House.
• Show your saved home data, tasks, projects, supplies, notes, and House Log entries across supported devices.
• Generate home-maintenance guidance, suggestions, and chat responses you request.
• Process optional uploaded photos to provide the assistance or analysis you request.
• Send transactional and support communications such as verification, password reset, and account-related emails.
• Send product updates, feature announcements, offers, or subscription options to your account email unless you unsubscribe from those emails.
• Monitor reliability, troubleshoot issues, prevent abuse, and protect the security of the service.

Service providers and third parties

We use service providers to support app hosting, database and storage, email delivery, diagnostics, and requested AI and chat functionality. We may also link to third-party retailers or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Subscriptions and purchases

Mobile subscriptions and billing are managed by Apple or Google, depending on your device. We receive status information needed to confirm your subscription and unlock the related features, but we do not receive your full payment card details from the app stores.

Retention and deletion

We keep account and app data for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can delete your account in-app from Settings, or see Delete Account for detailed instructions. When account deletion is confirmed, we permanently delete the account and associated app data, subject to any limited retention required by law or operational necessity.

Your choices

You can stop using the service at any time. You may update certain account information in the app, request account-related support by email, and delete your account as described above.

You can manage email preferences in-app from Settings, including product updates and offers. Those emails also include an unsubscribe link.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect the information we maintain. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
